Jescah Apamo-Gannon, Membership Co-Chair
Jescah Apamo-Gannon is the Coordinator of Home-Based services for ACCEPT Education Collaborative, serving over 20 School Districts in MetroWest Massachusetts. Presently, she works as a Behavior Consultant, a Special Educator, an adjunct professor, and MCAS-Alt Training Specialist for the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).
Jescah is a Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (LABA) and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Additionally, she is certified by DESE as a Transition Specialist, and Teacher of Students with Severe Special Needs (K-12). Jescah provides mentoring to newly licensed Special Education teachers as well as practicum supervision to those pursuing certification in Applied Behavior Analysis.
She holds an advanced post-graduate certificate (ATP) in Behavior Analysis from Northeastern University, and a MS.Ed. from Simmons College. Currently, she is a PhD candidate in Behavior Analysis at Simmons College. Jescah’s research interests include; behavioral medicine, behavioral systems approaches to education, and treatment of challenging behavior.
In addition to planning and presenting at conferences, Jescah is active in local, national and international organizations that advocate for the needs of people with special needs. Jescah serves as Co-Chair of Membership on the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Council for Exceptional Children.
