Renee Greenfield, Past President

Renée Greenfield, Ph.D., is a Specialized Instructional Coach for the Amherst Public Schools.  She specializes in the areas of language development, learning disabilities, co-teaching, and preparing teachers to educate linguistically diverse students with and without disabilities. She worked in public and private school settings as a speech-language teacher and special educator for eight years. For the last 14 years, she has worked as an independent educational consultant to support students with disabilities, their families, and public school districts. To support districts and their educators, Dr. Greenfield leads professional development focusing on language development, literacy, assessment, and differentiated instruction. In 2010, Renée received the Boston College Lynch School of Education Dissertation Fellowship Award and in 2011 she received the Council for Exceptional Children’s Outstanding Graduate Student Member of the Year Award.  Renée is  a consultant with the SpedExProgram - a dispute resolution option offered through Massachusetts DESE. She lives in western MA.
