MCEC strives to provide special education professionals with relevant and impactful professional development. We work to engage our members across the state through a variety of learning opportunities such as individual lectures, webinars, speaker series, and of course, our annual conference.

Our goal is to meet the diverse needs of professionals in the Commonwealth by providing programming that addresses a wide range of topics from researchers, self-advocates, practitioners, and school leaders. Most importantly, because we value the expertise of self-advocates, we aim to create platforms to share their knowledge and lived experiences so that we can collaborate and further our goal of equity in the field of special education.
